Open pedagogy: supporting student knowledge co-creation through open online platforms

Open Learning Instructional Designer Marie Bartlett and TRU Open Press Publication Manager Dani Collins share success stories using the open-source publication tools WordPress and Pressbooks to provide students and educators with new and flexible ways to share and publish knowledge, such as with videos, podcasts, and graphical media including co-authored textbooks. During these projects, students took control of their learning and chose media styles they were passionate about, increasing buy-in and encouraging them to share their knowledge around the world.
